What are Biobased Polyols?

Biobased Polyols are produced from plant based renewable resources such as soybeans.  Biobased Polyols are precisely refined to specifications suitable for use in polyurethane foam applications.

Biobased polyols require considerably less energy to refine than petroleum-based polyols resulting in additional savings to oil reserves and energy demands.

The biobased polyol is a one to one replacement for petroleum-based polyol products and may be used in a variety of urethane products including rigid, flexible, microcellular and integreal skin applications.

The use of biobased polyol requires no process changes or retooling and performs comparable to or better then petroleum based polyol in all categories including tensil strength, heat resistance and flexability.

Biobased polyols are currently being used in the manufacturing of automobiles, trucks, construction equipment, insulation, furniture, recreation products, physical fitness equipment and consumer goods from appliances to carpeting and footware.
